Child Safety & Abuse Prevention

Harry's Hoops maintains written child-protection policies for coaches, assistants, volunteers, and student helpers. These policies address appropriate boundaries, supervision, communication, physical contact, reporting of concerns, and response to suspected abuse or inappropriate conduct.

Harry's Hoops does not tolerate:

• Physical, sexual, or emotional abuse
• Inappropriate or sexualized contact
• Grooming or secretive behavior
• Bullying, hazing, intimidation, or humiliation
• Inappropriate private communication with participants
• Retaliation against anyone who raises a good-faith safety concern

Coaches and helpers are expected to maintain appropriate boundaries and conduct youth activities in open and observable settings whenever reasonably possible.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to raise any concern involving the safety, conduct, or treatment of a participant.

Concerns involving Harry's Hoops may be reported to: coach@harryshoops.com

If there is reason to suspect child abuse or neglect, the concern should also be reported to the appropriate governmental authority in accordance with applicable law. In an emergency or if a child is in immediate danger, call 911.
