FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child bring to the clinic?+
Athletes should arrive ready to participate and bring:
- 👟 Sneakers appropriate for the gym
- 🩳 Comfortable athletic clothing
- 💧 A water bottle
- 🏀 A positive attitude
- 💪 A willingness to work hard and learn
Can parents stay and watch?+
Yes! Parents are welcome to stay and watch.
That said, we've found that athletes often focus, learn, and grow more when they have some space from their parents during training. We recommend giving your athlete the opportunity to learn, compete, make mistakes, and build confidence on their own.
Our goal is to create an environment where every athlete can focus, have fun, and Play Hard! Play Right!
What happens if my child misses a clinic?+
No problem — things come up! Just let Coach Harry know in advance when possible.
Since the clinic runs as a multi-week program, we're unable to prorate or refund missed sessions.
What if my child has a different level skill?+
That's exactly why we coach in smaller groups.
Our goal is to challenge every athlete at the appropriate level. Coaches can modify drills to make them more challenging for athletes who are ready, and more accessible for athletes still developing a particular skill.
Every athlete should be challenged, but no athlete should feel left behind.
Will the clinics involve large groups or smaller skill groups?+
Primarily smaller groups.
Much of our skill development is done in smaller groups so athletes get more repetitions, coaching, and individual attention. At times, we'll bring the entire group together for larger team drills, competitive activities, or game situations.
This combination allows athletes to develop their individual skills while also learning how to apply those skills within the larger game of basketball.
